Muriel Shoesmith appears in most photographs. Photos include: studio portraits, 1942-1945; 10th anniversary of founding of U.N. in San Francisco, 1955; Operation Understanding (including photos taken in White Sands, N.M., and Colorado Springs, Colo.), 1960; courtroom meeting regarding traffic, ca. 1962; cosmetic bill, ca. 1962; Shoesmith with Mrs. Dickenson, 1945; banquet, signed by Constance A. Sporborg, 1955; two women, Clarendon and Thelma Wilkenson, 1963; a group of four women "photographed at Hotel del Coronado"; Shoesmith's 40th anniversary party, 1969. Older photographs include Shoesmith next to a car, 1929; some groups of unidentified persons; Pleasanton Grammar School Grade 8 for 1928 and 1929 (different students, same teacher); students dressed as Native Americans. The oldest photo depicts a group of people behind a dead bear; one man has a rifle.
